Benefits Of Outsourcing Your Social Media

Social media is something that nearly all businesses these days will benefit from. However, it’s not as simple as setting up a few accounts and hoping for the best, social media needs time and dedication.

Each post needs to have some thought put into it and be part of an overall plan i.e. what time will the post go out, will it include a link, will it include a picture, will it ask a question, what is my goal who is this post aimed at? These are the fundamental questions you need to ask yourself in order to create an interesting and engaging feed. If social media is delivered correctly it can be incredibly beneficial but on the other hand, can be detrimental if the time and effort isn’t put in. For these reasons, some companies outsource their social media to freelancers with the knowledge and passion to grow their accounts!

Below are some of the benefits of outsourcing your social media to Taylored Marketing

Time: As mentioned above, social media takes time. Dependant on your company sometimes a good few hours every day! Outsourcing this will free up you or your staff’s time to focus on what you’re good at.

Save Money: A lot of companies will save money by bringing in a freelancer. The expense of hiring an external marketing company may well be cheaper than hiring a new member of staff or using an existing member of staff. If using an existing member of staff, consider what tasks they are foregoing to manage social media. Not to mention the responsibilities of employing a new member of staff.

Expertise: Social media trends are constantly changing; new platforms are being used and algorithms are developing. I spend my time learning about all of these changes and how they will affect your digital strategy, so you don’t need to worry! I’m also currently studying for my Diploma In Professional Marketing so I have to read about marketing for around 10 hours a week!

Constant Monitoring: If an issue arises within your business or you have a deadline or important meeting it is likely that social media will take a back seat. However, as a freelance marketing manager I’m on hand to not only develop and manage your digital marketing plans, but also to respond and engage with followers as and when needed.

Analytics: This is an area of social media that is often forgotten or seen as unnecessary by businesses but something I find very useful in planning future posts. By analysing your posts I can get a better idea of which posts work, who engages with them, when to post etc. and can tailor your plan accordingly.

Competitor Insights: This is very useful for finding out what your target audience likes and what they respond to but is something that often gets overlooked or again, companies just don't have the time. It’s important to note that this doesn’t mean you should copy your competitors, but you may take note of what works well and be inspired by them.
